| After 11 years of futile attempts to deal with our weed infested periwinkle embankment, we were pushed to the edge when the 2008 drought killed much of the ground cover and exposed much of the slope to erosion. Mr. Schmitt and his crew killed off the earlier ground cover, pre-treated the ground against future weeds and planted juniper which will provide a more effective and attractive ground cover. Many of our neighbors have praised the look of the embankment. Greg gave us a detailed estimate with full explanation; the treatment and planting were on schedule and exactly on budget. The only downside: now we want to do other parts of our property. Maybe not this year, but when we do we will turn to Schmitt's Lawn Care, Inc. G. Carney - Boonsboro (before and after photos above.
